about

'Polymorphism' consists of 7 tracks, all written specifically by Lars J. Brouwer for the entrance hall of the annual Trance Energy festival by ID&T.

Twenty students at the Utrecht School of Arts were challenged with the task to come up with an interactive entrance to the festival. Combining fashion design, game design, interaction design, video design and audio, the projectgroup showcased the outcome of the project on the 7th of March 2009 during the festival.

All songs have a long runtime, due to the nature of the project. The audio was supposed to fullfill an immersive function, where smooth changes in composition were there to keep things interesting, but also to create an atmosphere, and relate to electronic dance music but never give away the climax. A challenge for sure.

Since Trance Energy draws a 30.000 people crowd, there are sure some of you that have been there and would like to hear some of the things you've also heard that very evening. Immerse again.
